It's Almost midnight Part 3

The night in pain fright.

It's almost midnight
Sleeping to wake in shallow night
Ceilings dropped near to my start
Bed, blanket and Black pillow only to around
All Books scattered messy all unbound
Am I Waking?

It's almost midnight
Taking steps to run slow and not right
Floor came closer to my fright
Mat, slipper and mockery pajamas felt hound
Every sheet cling dirty all on the ground
Am I sleeping?

It's almost midnight
Can't feel light as head
Can't hold tight as led
Easy was a story to tell
Hard was also to be sell
Not  I was waking nor sleeping?

It's almost midnight
Hands were bind by the wooden door
Feet were stick by the cold floor
Which was light I have no clue
Where was day I get so blue
As dots appear before like eyes we're glue
Why was I waking in sleeping true?

The ache was far from gone
The bitter was coming to run
Will I be out of lots of fun?
For this black has consumed all the sun

I was waking to a hurtful sleeping
Drugging the water to lose bleeding
I was waking in dread of longing
Losing the fight to win pain coming

Rendang Padang, one of the famous traditional food from West Sumatra enrich the list of Indonesian most Phenomenon traditional foods. This traditional food has a typical taste of herbal ingredients mixed with the traditional way of cooking that can preserve the Beef Redang to be stored for a long time. You might want to check the link for more explanation.

From West Sumatra, Let's move a bit further to Other Island in Indonesia, Bandung, West Java. Yes, we are going to talk about one of this City's well-known food.  As you can see from the picture the food we are going to talk about is "Seblak".

Seblak is one of the Local wisdom started in Bandung, the original variant of seblak is made of Kerupuk ( Dried Chips), with Indonesian traditional spices like shallot, garlic, aromatic ginger (kencur), and loads of Chilly blend together. to make it more not only delicious but also nutritious, some may add chopped vegetebles like cabbage or kale even carrot.

Why is it local wisdom? because the recipes of this food are inherited generation by generation. Through words of mouth from time to time. Then it became a famous spicy food amongst the Sundanese in West Java. It is created from a family tradition, where Sundanese are mostly family people who like to stay close to the big family.

Seblak tastes savory and occasionally very spicy, today you can find Seblak in various types of ingredients. Dried Chips, Macaronies, Kwe Tiaw, Noodles, are some of the most used basic ingredients in making seblak. Recently, in 2019 people started to create a new type of Dried food it is called Japlak. Japlak is made of  Glutinous flour called kanji.

Japlak seblak has occupied the market of Seblak selling throughout the years until today. Teenagers of spicy foods lovers would have ordered this type of seblak. and since then seblak has been a famous spicy food with lots of different toppings.

Before the pandemic, you can find many Seblak Street food at markets or culinary stations in west Java. Even in villages, towns,s and big cities in Indonesia. it is modified to a more sophisticated food many times in several areas. The toppings create an expensive price out of the most.

So, if one day you visit Bandung or West Java, never leave the place without tasting the variations of Seblak especially "Japlak Seblak with noddles". You won't regret every taste of it.

Speaker    : Mukminin.,S.Pd.,M.Pd

Moderator  : Bambang Purwnto ( Mr.Bams)

Not a good idea until it is written, and not good writing until it is published.
Ms.Phia

Here we are, The 5th Meeting in Kelas Belajar Menulis untuk Guru PGRI, cool isn't it. Joining this class has always has been the most intriguing time for me, and maybe also for other participants. After today's meeting schedules. This Menulis class is the one I have always waited on every coming week. It's my purpose to set now.

The Moderator today was Mr.Bams. He is a teacher from Bandung and was the moderator for the second meeting. As Om Jay informed everybody in the group about the title and the speaker also the moderator, He closed the Group for admins only. So we will be focus only on the topic of discussion today. Om Jay shared one of his post on Wijayalabs.com for us to comment on. I tried but I failed to send the comment I wrote .

Bapak Mukminin.,S.Pd., M.Pd. was the speaker, and from what I learned from him that he is a very punctuate and Goal aimed person. Cak inin that is how he named his blog, He is actively writing in his 55 years of age.  teacher at SMP N in Lamongan East Java He also owns a publishing company named "Kamila Press Lamongan. For more details about Cak inin please click the link to his Curriculum Vitae below.  : https://cakinin.blogspot.com/2020/10/curiculum-vitae.html

Herein I enclose pictures of His Books ,

The topic delivered is about " Recognizing An Indie Publisher" as an opening the speaker emphasized again how having motivation is respectfully a very important thing for writers. He shows some hadith related to self-motivation to strengthen his ideas.

He then gave the best steps on how to write and publish a book :

1. PreWriting :
    a. Be sensitive about current events (Paying attention to details)
    b. Creatively catch the phenomenon
    c. Read more
2. Drafting
3. Revising
4. Editing
5. Publishing

Recognizing Publisher; Major and Indie, Cak Inin explained that there are two types of publisher

1. Major Publisher

2. Indie Publisher

How to tell the differences between these two types of publishers, here are some details explained :

A. Number of Published Copies

  major Publisher:.

Major Publisher massively publish  books with about 3000 copies of at least 1000 copies to sell in stores

Indie Publisher :

Only publish requested copies or they call it Print on Demand.

B. Choices of Published Scripts

Major: have very strict rules before a book is published. Due to also concern on the market trends and the high number of rejections.

Indie: Never rejected a script. As long as the script is worth publishing.

C.Professionalism

Major: Strictly professional and backed up by excellent resources and big companies.

Indie: Also professional but with fewer rules compare to major.

D. Publishing Schedule

Major: A script is accepted, and will be confirmed within more and less 1 to 3 months. there are many steps and fulfilments in major publishers it can also take years to be published.

Indie: script, with suitable rules directly, go published in the count of weeks.

 E. Profit Sharing ( Royalties)

Major: They determined to only give 10% of profit-sharing from the total selling profit.

Indie: Generally they will share about 15 to 20% shares from book price.

F. Publishing Cost.

Major: Published for free

Indie: In terms of payment depends on managements policy.

Enhancing the topic, Cak Inin also introduced his own indie Publishing company, there is Three publishing company that is under Om Jay's Auspices. The speaker also showed some books that are pub; posted earlier by Kamila Press. I only enclose a small part of the book title in the pictures below

After Giving full samples and knowledge to the participants about the types of publishers and books that are being published by Kamila press, he then gave contacts and a price list of book publishing at his current publishing company.

If any of you are interested to publish books with indie publishers, you can contact directly to this number -0813309044498. and here are the details of Price along with the copies number for publishing  Kamila Press

Today again my horizon has gotten bigger and wider for me to explore. I have written many starting from stories, and journals but was still too not confident to publish them since I have been rejected by one major publisher a few years ago.

I will start to fix my writings today and hopefully will soon start contacting Kamila Press to publish my book. My confidence has gone up so high that I am positive now, publishing what I have written into books is the best thing a writer should do. no hesitation has blocked me again.

Wrapping up beside that you have to motivate yourself, make friends with great people, find a great deal to finally be a complete writer. A publisher. Write today publish tomorrow and Indie Publisher is my best partner.

It's almost midnight Part 2

 It's almost midnight

The darkest dark of the night

The cloudiest cloud of the sky

In wonder Have I wondered

Was this the  reply to mine?

It's almost midnight

Where thoughts were at drought

When eyes we're blind folded by cry

Who stranger now were allies bothered

Was this the response to mine?

It's almost midnight

At then I was asking in broken

At then I was palms raised in dry

At then I was pray in hungered soul

At then I was knees bended devastated

Was this the answer of mine?

It's almost midnight

Still hunger for answer

Drain thoughts of which to felt

Blinded by the aches soul in confused

What to felt, which to say

Only if all was the favour of God only

Will then only I stopped questioned

Was this the worst of I request in pain.

It almost midnight

Till then I found my answer

Gratitude and sorry for one who Holds so Dear

The Unmistaken Power of wisdom and Grace.

FROM SCIENTIFIC JOURNALS TO BOOKS

 Resume     : 4th (Ke-4)

Date       : Monday, July 19th,2021

Topic      : "Menulis Buku dari Karya Ilmiah"

             "Transforming Scientific Journals to Book"

Speaker    : Noralia Purwa Yunita.,M.Pd

Moderator  : Aam Nurhasanah

When language is the Key to the world, Books are the Door to the World  , You Master Language and Write a Book You Can Conquer the Universe
 Ms.Phia

Fourth Class tonight. I love Monday, especially today when Monday evening is spent with other great people at Belajar Menulis Untuk Guru PGRI, How can I not love it, knowledge after knowledge is shared and I don't have to pay for anything, 100% free. Whereas, I can be a good writer and get new stuff to fit in the job well for not even a cent to pay.

Ibu Noralia Purwa Yunita.,M.Pd was the speaker. she is a teacher at SMP NEGERI 8 Semarang. She was actively joining competitions and always a champion in every one of them. We were given her full biography from the shared link: Ibu Noralia's VideoGraphy

Bu Nora wrote and published Chemistry books, she published her first anthology book for Senior High School entitled " Menciptakan Pola pembelajaran efektif dari Rumah", Academic Ekoji Book entitled " Digital Mindset and "Gamifikasi" and plenty of other good books. I should really have one of them. Below is the picture of one of Bu Noralia's bestseller books, You can buy it from BELBUK

The Moderator today is Ibu Aam Nurhasanah and she was also the speaker on the team. Bu Aam opened the class with her typically cheerful style of words choices, and she then welcomed the speaker. The topic today is how to make a book out of a scientific Journal.

The Speaker explained that most of us made a thesis or dissertation only to fulfill the last assignment of our studies, which ended up as one of the campus library's files. She thought that it is a great loss for the world of Science and for our efforts to only have important knowledge left over the corner of a library.

Pointing so deep on how critical it is to let society read our research journals as scientific findings, she explained that every innovation and findings are much more important to the world of science, she then asked the participant How to change your Research Journals into a book There is some transformation to take to start writing the book, they are :

1. Transforming the Journal's Title: Change the title into a research focus. Things to add after are; Tips, Strategies and success idea

2. Transforming Chapter I on Your Journal into Chapter I of a book; that is to lose some details on. Add the methods and general details instead of formulation of the research

3. Chapter II transformed into the original and developed version of theoretical studies.

She then gives samples of a chapter written on a book regarding the title of a journal then divide that into a more general content, therefore, only from  chapter I and II of the journal, we have already made several chapters in a book

4. Chapter V is taken from the research results and Discussions.

5. As for diction or choice of words, we need to use different styles to those we made as a report of the research, Use your creativity.

6. Give or explain the research reviews on strength and weakness

7. References may use official Blog Sites such as Kemendikbud

8. Pages for books made out of a journal are at least 70 pages with A5 paper size.

Last but not least she then emphasized that Research journals or thesis will be more beneficial if it is written also in a book version.

There are some benefits we can get in transforming a research journal into a book.

1. More people can read the research

2. It can be for sale.

3. For Government employees (ASN) a book is a credit point and scientific publication.

4. You will definitely get fame too, more people read and buy the book the more fame you'll get

5. Your research will be open source.

After getting a holistic explanation along with the samples of every chapter that we can make, within the process of creating a book out of a research journal. There has never been this full package of tips and explanations in only such a short time.

Wrapping up I would say, that I agree very much with the emphasized note that a journal or research will give so much more benefit towards society if we only make a Book out of it.

Also, the explanation has made it loud and clear that a book can open the world, if you can make a good book especially when you are also a researcher, You can make the world a better place. Today's class has again changed my perspective towards BOOKS, WRITING, and READING.

So, if you are a researcher, make a Book!. Transforming From Scientific Journals To Books is as easy as snapping your fingers. (even I have no idea when I will start with mine 😁)
